Koh Rok Nai and Koh Rok Nok are two beautiful islands close to Koh Lanta in the region of Krabi. It is a great location for a 1-day snorkeling trip. You can get there in 60 minutes by speedboat from Koh Lanta. It is possible to stay over night in one of the tents which can be rented at the local park ranger’s office on Koh Rok Nok.
Snorkeling trips to Koh Rok can be booked in every tour office on Koh Lanta. The speedboat companies bring food and drinks with them to Koh Rok. On the boat you can rent towels, snorkeling equipment and life jackets. Each guest will have a seat available on the boat, either outside in the front part of the speedboat or inside the boat. This is depending on the departure location. The best is to be prepared and bring sun lotion and a hat with you in case you are sitting outside on board during the 60 minutes journey from Koh Lanta to Koh Rok.
During your tour, the boat will stop at several snorkeling spots in the area. At lunch time there is a longer stop on Koh Rok Nok. On the mountain in the middle of the island is a small view point. It is likely that you will meet a monitor lizard (small crocodile) on your way up there.
